Behind every person lies a real story. If you would like to know more about who I am and my journey to become a Spanish teacher, read on…

The part of my story about how I became a teacher after studying architecture in college began by chance when I saw an advertisement from "Cuauhnáhuac" School, which was looking for new personnel to study and teach Spanish to foreign students. Because I had liked to learn and practice my English as a student, this advertisement captured my interest. Feeling that this work would be a perfect match for me, I soon took advantage of the opportunity to work as a teacher.

When I was in college studying architecture, I never imagined that I would become a teacher. However, teaching quickly became my second passion, after architecture. However, in 1990, after 5 years at "Cuauhnáhuac", I received a job offer in the state of Wisconsin that would give me international experience and the opportunity to learn more and improve my English.

Later, in 1995, I began to work at Delphi Automotive Systems, a foreign manufacturing company located in Matamoros, MX–Brownsville, TX on the US–México border, where I worked for 13 years; but fate would not stop there. In mid-2008, I had to resign from Delphi and return to Cuernavaca because my mother was ill.Soon after, in 2009, the swine flu pandemic emerged, causing the loss of many jobs and a lack of well-paying jobs, forcing me and many others to face a serious economic crisis.

Fortunately, from 2010 onward, I was employed teaching Spanish to foreign students at the Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca.Through the years I encountered many difficulties, and I thank God for giving me the strength and resilience to overcome adverse situations. I have been able to create and realize my dream of developing my own company, "Charlemos Español", which started in 2014 with only two students. Today, in 2024, 30 students are enrolled in our online Spanish classes.

The rest of my story is on my website. Welcome!
Sincerely,
Edel Galeana Rosales
Bilingual Mexican university professor.
